Kept a retro e30 BMW 330 convertible as a summer car for a while - should have held on to it as they are really going up in price.
I also once bought an old Escort on Ebay for 201 pounds and used it to dump rubbish while rennovating my house before donating it to the fire brigade as it would have never passed an MOT again

It's not till you sit down and think about it that you realise how much money you spend on poxy cars. Here goes.
1973 Austin 1300 GT - Gradually fell to bits so sold it for £50 in car auction back in 1985
1970 Mini Cooper - After going through 7 clutch plates, two water pumps and lord knows how much old in 9 months I scrapped it.
1973 Austin Allagro - Spares for Mini - Scrapped
1974 Mini Clubman Estate - Lasted 3 years of abuse, sold so I could buy
1974 Ford Escort 1300 XL - Cunt of a car. Would never start from cold except for the morning it was stolen from outside my house. Died when conrod snapped and sent piston through block on the M11.
1979 Chrysler Sunbeam Ti - Went like stink but rusty and unreliable PX for
1980 Datsun Sunny - Great car, luxury all the toys for the time. Killed by combination of rust and Labrador eating it away
1981 Peugeot 305 Diesel Estate, Comfy and practical. Horrendously unreliable, PX for
1980 Subaru DL 4WD estate. good car till one of the heads went. Auctioned off and bought
1981 VW Golf 1.1L. Suprisingly nippy car for the engine but shit build quality.
1983 Mini Metro Van. Bought it off BIL as he was short of cash. Sold it for the same year later.
1984 VW Golf 1.8L. Juicy, too many bits like door handles, seats, heater & controls breaking. PX for
1987 Renault 21 Savanna 2.0L TXE. Probably the most comfortable car I have owned. A fast and practical bed on wheels.
1981 Mini Metro 1.3. Go cart for the town. Good little car, sold for
1989 VW Passat 2.0 Estate. Good sold car that was destroyed by some dappy bitch pulling out on me on A12.
1988 Renault Laguna 2.0 RXE. Probably £for£ best car I have owned. Fast comfortable cruiser that ate up the miles
1988 Renault Laguna 2.2D Estate. Probably the worst piece of shit I have ever owned. Engine & electrical total abortion but I did trade it in for a
1996 Mitsubishi FTO. My favourite car of all. I had a silly grin when I test drove it and a tear in my eye when she went
2002 Renault Laguna 19D Mk2. Unreliable, dull. Not as good a car as the Mk1
2002 Nissan Navara. Had to chop in the FTO so I could buy this work horse to car stuff back and forth to France. Bloody good truck. After 8 years sold it to local plumber and still on road today.
2006 Renault Laguna 2.0Mk Tourer. As dull as the saloon until it smashed its big ends on french autoroute 100km south of Paris.
2002 Hyundai Matrix 1.8. bought for £400 as a temp replacement for the tourer. Known as the Rat this ugly blot of metal has done wonders. completed last years Monte Carlo or Bust banger rally after first banger expired on the way to Dover ferry. Has been used and abused to excess but it just wont die! it's even been driven under a truck!! and Mrs Nutter still uses daily.
1998 Mazda bongo Campervan. Festival van, bought like the Nav to cart stuff back and forth to house in France. Added bonus of bed, cooking and pop up roof and awning :)
2009 Fiat Panda 1.1eco. Bullet proof city car. 60mpg £30 tax. I drive it like a tart with a cart.
